Problem / Solution

The general contractor for this building was CMEG. This contractor had a good experience of sandwich panels with integration of structured walls. Prefab is fast and allows construction within a tight deadline.

Why expanded clay?

To decrease the weight of the panels they used light weight concrete which had advantages for manipulating, transport etc, integration of thermal insulation and for the integration of facing concrete. We are able to produce structural lightweight concrete LC30/33 D1,6 (SCC) with high compressive strength dispite low density materials.
